Today’s topic on my blog is skin care… Pretty sure I’m not the only one who has struggled or is still struggling to find the perfect products to prevent our skin from breaking out on random occasions. What does smooth, beautiful skin even feel like? It’s so F-ing annoying having breakouts at 28.. After trying soooo many products throughout the years, I’ve now finally come to the conclusion that for me less is more and that the bottles might be real cute but not all ingredients are great for my skin type! I also find that eating healthy, drinking lots of water and ALWAYS removing your makeup before bed makes a huge difference.
I don’t spend much time on my face in the morning, I don’t use high end brands, I don’t use toners as I haven’t found one that I thought made a difference. I like to keep it simple and use products that actually make a difference. So here are my 2 essential products I am using at the moment:
- Cetaphil, Gentle Skin Cleanser: I start off each morning with this stuff , and I love how it really wakes up my skin and leaves it feeling fresh. I’m not going to lie, I’ve also definitely used this stuff in a pinch when I have those lazy nights where washing my face seems like the most monumental task. Generally though I just use this stuff each morning prior to my make up routine. It’s mild and non-irritating, it helps my skin retain moisture.
- Eucerin Calming Daily Moisturizing Crème: Now I don’t use this all over my face, I only use it where my skin is extremely dry which is on my forehead, nose and chin. I also don’t use a lot as this cream is extremely moisturizing and it can be hard to apply makeup afterwards if too much is applied. Although it is super quick absorb and literally lasts all day. I also use this product on my legs during the winter months. It’s by far my favourite moisturizer and would recommend it to anyone who has dry skin but that have very sensitive skin.
Told you guys I don’t do much in the morning! These 2 products are what make my face feel fresh every day and haven’t made me breakout and they are super affordable!
