ok! So for those of you who know me, probably fell on their asses seeing the word healthy in my vocabulary LOL! Here is why I say that; I’ve been to the gym a handful of times in my life… Although I was very active in high school and played lots of sports I’ve kept a distance from the gym or any intense physical activities since then. The only exercise I get is from walking my dog, the odd beginner yoga session and riding my horse, which has been off the list lately due to a back injury. I also don’t eat as healthy as I should, I have at least a pop a day, I love my chips and Oreos, let’s just say I don’t live the healthiest lifestyle. I’m not writing this post to say that I’m going to hit the gym and train everyday cause I don’t think you will be seeing me at a gym anytime soon. For me moving towards a healthier lifestyle means more than just the numbers on the scale. I don’t think I need to lose any weight – I’m 5’1 and weight 114 lbs – but, like most people, I do wish some parts of my body, such as my thighs, were a little leaner and that my booty had a little more pop. #BOOTYPOPPIN
Back to seriousness, for me choosing to live a healthier lifestyle is the key to feeling better. Not only with my body and health but also with my wellbeing and state of mind. I truly believe that you attract what you put out. Eliminating bad foods from my diet and adding healthier foods, I’m hoping to see a difference in my skin, my energy level, my anxiety and much more. The second thing I want to eliminate is negativity. I’ve definitely been a victim of having a negative mindset, whether it be with work, or dealing with anxiety. But the negativity is stopping today not only from myself but also surrounding myself with negative people. Life is so much easier when you’re positive! As I will be exploring this new chapter in my life, I want to take you guys along for the ride and keep you posted on my successes and also my challenges. So let’s do this 🙂
